Women and suitcases

Women and Suitcases portraits the many roles and expectations that women confront. The performance is a multi-layer story of women who live in the crossfire of reality and expectations: a person is made not only by herself but also by the circumstances that surround her. These two factors create a role that a human being must act in her everyday life.

Anne-Mari Kivimäki, Reetta-Kaisa Ies and Johanna Elovaara create a strong and atmospheric performance with music, speech and intensive stage layout. The main themes revolve around women in the 20th century and their roles: how they see themselves and how the society sees them.
