Tsuumi Dance Theatre is a Helsinki based professional dance theatre with 25 years of experience. The company finds its unique strength in exploring folklore and creating new artistic ways to bring it on stage. Tsuumi Dance Theatre is a collective of professional dancers, choreographers and musicians. Tsuumi’s works consists of contemporary dance, Finnish folk dance, theatre and live music.

Gritty B is a dance-filled trip to girlhood and back, tinged with bass frequencies. Relying heavily on movement and sound, the piece is built on stage by two dancers and an electric bassist. Hiuskarvan varassa event

A multi-year, rotating event that changes with the performance venues, Hiuskarvan varassa will be experienced for the first time in the summer of 2023 in Kuopio. In its first event, the Roskakatos collective recycles Tsuumi Dance Theatre’s works MARTAT and We Called Her Bertha as well as the free field productions lollollollollollollol, Matriarkka and OMPELUSEURAT into an eventful entity in a common landscape.
